Our History
Estero Bay United Methodist Church
Six acres of a dairy farm were purchased in north Morro Bay and The Rev. Rex Britt saw to the building of a church, the formation of fellowship groups for young families, and the formation of the Methodist Youth Fellowship. The Rev. Bill Black, Rev. Verne Cooney, Rev. Dr. Dudley John and Rev. Robert McCullagh served as pastors where Sunday worship, potluck dinners, mission programs and Vacation Bible School were held.
The third decade, with Rev. Thomas Dillard saw the breezeway enclosed and a nursery/classroom added. Rev. Dr. Harald Frey came in the fourth decade when the sanctuary was enlarged to accommodate the growing choir, piano and organ. During Rev. John Wood's time a new PA system was added and Head Start found a home at our church. Then Rev. Robert Morley brought Sunday afternoon concerts "on the green" for the community.
In the fifth decade Rev. Steve Islander brought the EBUMC preschool and after school programs, along with the Estero Community Garden and Sierra Service Project ministries. The church celebrated its 50th Anniversary on April 13, 2008 with the installation of the Peace Pole at the front of the church. The church has future visions with our growing children's programs to the church campus showing God's love for all people.

Under his guidance and with our fellow members our church focused on our ministries, serving our community and increasing our discipleship.
In July of 2019 EBUMC welcomed Pastor Stephen Meadors
As of July 1, 2022 our Church was Blessed with the arrival of our
